VITA Volunteer Training – January 17, 2026
Join us for an in-depth training session to prepare volunteers for the upcoming tax season with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in your community! This session will cover essential tax law updates, software navigation, and best practices for assisting clients. Volunteers must complete this training in order to participate in the VITA program.
In-Person Attendance: No pre-registration required—simply sign in at the event.
Virtual Option: If you’re unable to travel, click the button in the gray box to attend online via Zoom.
Ideal candidates:
- Must be 16 years or older
- Commit to volunteering 4+ hours per week during tax season (end of January - April 15)
- Complete IRS certification (no cost)
Bilingual volunteers are needed as well as volunteers who are able to serve within one or more of the following counties: Alachua, Bradford, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, and Union.
