Celebrate Primary Care Co-Owner, Lisa Magary
1. Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?
Celebrate Primary Care is a membership based family practice. We do not accept insurance but instead have a low monthly fee that gets you unlimited care with no copay and up to 90% off medications and labs. By not accepting insurance, the provider and patient decide what's needed, not the insurance carrier. Our business philosophy is to improve quality and access to provide affordable primary care in this community. We treat patients like family and provide them with our personal cell phone to call when they needs us. We focus on prevention to keep our patients happy, healthy and productive.
2. Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way’s Community Investment Fund?
We love giving back to the community. This is an easy and affordable way to make a positive impact. We are so happy that our financial commitment helps make a difference on a personal level. The United Way has the biggest impact with their programs by multiplying our funds.
3. What is something interesting or surprising that most people don’t know about you?
Della Tuten and Lisa Magary are lifelong learners. Combined, we have 8 degrees from the University of Florida.
4. What would your older self tell your younger self?
Lisa: Get a mentor and listen to them.
Della: Not to worry so much.
5. What is your favorite quote?
Lisa: "That's when I feel most alive, when I'm helping people." - Paul Farmer
Della: "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right" - – Henry Ford.
Small businesses play a critical role in maintaining a thriving local economy. They are no less important to the success of United Way, as we endeavor to improve lives through our work in education, income, and health.
