Need help making ends meet?
United Way North Central Florida provides limited, one-time financial assistance to individuals and families experiencing unexpected financial hardship. To be considered, applicants must:
- Live in Alachua, Bradford, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, or Union county
- Be employed or receiving a fixed income such as Social Security
- Be experiencing a qualifying hardship, such as an unbudgeted or unexpected expense, an unexpected loss of income, financial emergency, or a catastrophic event or natural disaster that occurred within the last 90 days
- Provide documentation showing proof of need and the unbudgeted expense(s)
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain payments going forward
Please note: Assistance is not guaranteed and depends on eligibility and available funding. Funds cannot be used to pre-pay expenses or cover anticipated future bills.
Instructions for Applying
Requests for assistance must be made through the online form below. Please submit only one application. If you need help with completing the form or if you neglected to attach documentation or need to add additional information after submitting, please call 352-331-2800.
Please review the entire form and gather the proper documentation before submitting your request as the form cannot be saved. Some information to have includes:
- Photo I.D.s for each adult in the household
- Complete Signed Lease
- Pay stubs, other sources of income, etc.
Submitted Applications
Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received and within 7-10 business days of submission. Incomplete applications may delay the review process.
