Angela Renick, A'vie Events
1.Tell us about your business; and what is your business philosophy?
A`vie Events is a company that is run on integrity, honesty, and going beyond what is expected. We want each and every one of our clients to feel and be a guest at their event. It is our goal to build long lasting relationships with our clients to genuinely service their needs during the process of planning their event, coordinating their event and afterwards. With each job, we listen to the concerns and wants of our clients addressing all points, making sure their guests are all taken care of from the point they step foot in the venue to the moment they leave.
2. Why are you passionate about your commitment to United Way’s Community Investment Fund?
A`vie Events is a small business and one of our core values is to give back to the community in which we live. What better way than to partner with United Way and each dollar be matched at least 3 times over? Meaning that the money being donated has more power to make a bigger difference in the community; he community I choose to do business in, have a business in, and raise a family in. I want to be connected to United Way in a deeper way.
3. What would your older self tell your younger self?
Try something new each day, don’t get stuck in a rut doing the same old thing. Laugh more, worry less, pray often, remember even when it all seems to be failing apart God is putting the pieces together.
4. Favorite quote?
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14 NIV
Small businesses play a critical role in maintaining a thriving local economy. They are no less important to the success of United Way, as we endeavor to improve lives through our work in education, income, and health. Our Small Business Partners are an important, growing family of donors, who are vital to helping us meet the needs of our community.
